FCG Visit - 17th & 18th March 2012 A small group of volunteers from Fife Conservation Group visited the reserve on both Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th April 2012; staying overnight at the nearby Crianlarich Youth Hostel.....moreExplorer Scout Visit - 9th to 11th March 2012 Explorer Scouts from Rosyth, Dalgety Bay and Kirkcaldy stayed at the reserve over the weekend of Friday 9th to Sunday 11th March 2012.....more FCG Visits 2011 Apologies for the lack of website updates over the last 6-months; however 2011 has been such a busy year for Fife Conservation Group and its members that websites updates have been overlooked!
We have however still made several visits to The Colin Burt Reserve:- ....more Change of Name The Group formally known as Fife Air Cadet Conservation Group (FACCG) and who are responsible for the management of The Colin Burt Reserve in Glen Dochart have changed their name to Fife Conservation Group FCG) to reflect the ever increasing number of members who are not Air Cadets.....more FACCG Visit - 5th March 2011 Fifteen volunteers visited the reserve over the weekend of 5th & 6th March 2011 and stayed over at Crianlarich Youth Hostel whilst one of our new volunteers - Steven - came along for the Saturday.....more FACCG Visit - Saturday 19th February 2011 A small group of volunteers returned to the reserve on Saturday 19th February to continue the work from the previous weekend!....more

Wetland Management The Project Woodland site contains a `wetland` area, which will be managed by the group in accordance with Rural Stewardship Scheme (RSS) regulations.....moreFungi We are aware that there are many different species of fungi growing on the site - especially in the woodland area so we thought it would be useful to give you some more information of Scotland`s `wild mushrooms`.....more
