FACCG Visit - 31st October 2009

Scout Expedition Base - 24th October 2009
Five Scouts, four Explorer Scouts and two leaders from 13th Fife used the Colin Burt Reserve as a base for a hike in Glen Dochart on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th October 2009.....more

Planning Permission Granted

Why have we been so quiet?

Over the last year, the Project Woodland website has not been updated as frequently as we would have liked after it became necessary to meet with the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park Planning Authority to discuss the planning issues that they had regarding the reserve, therefore projects and in turn, website updates were put on hold during this time.....more

Reserve Visit - 26th September 2009
A small group of volunteers visited the reserve on 27th September 2009. This visit was not in the 2009 programme and was organised at short notice, however the weather was tremendous with blue skies and sunshine all day.....more

Archaelogical Discovery - 26th July 2009
A group of 20 volunteers met up with Danny from Scotland`s Rural Past - http://www.scotlandsruralpast.org.uk - and Georgina from the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) - http://www.rcahms.gov.uk - to learn all about the archaeology of the mound on the reserve and to become involved in various survey techniques.....more

The Project Woodland site contains a `wetland` area, which will be managed by the group in accordance with Rural Stewardship Scheme (RSS) regulations.....more
