Our plans for the reserve continue to envolve as we learn more abound the land, however we can provide an outline of our plans for the forthcoming year.


Tree planting (grant from Tree Council) - November 2006 – week day project - dates to be arranged;

Construction and location of green wood bird hide - December 2006

Construction of dry stone structures - December 2006

Final clearing work and surfacing of gathering area - November/December 2006

Fencing/walling around gathering circle area - December 2006

Construction of dry stone fire pit - December 2006

Way marker signs to be located - December 2006

Community Involvement ie school groups, community groups… - Ongoing. More promotion of reserve to local community throughout 2007

Continuation of boardwalk through woodland - Jan / Feb / March 2007 (dependant on funding)

Creation of path from reserve entrance - Jan / Feb / March 2007 (dependant on funding)

Composting Toilet - May/June 2007 (dependant on funding)
Interpretation for Reserve - During Jan to June 2007 (dependant on funding)

Wildlife/Educational Surveying: fungi, plant, animal - Dates to be arranged

Monitoring of willow plantation and young trees - Ongoing throughout 2007

Sluice building to increase wetland area - October 2007

Grass cutting and raking - Late 2007

Tree planting for new area of woodland - November/December 2007
