Go BackPlanning Permission Granted

Why have we been so quiet?

Over the last year, the Project Woodland website has not been updated as frequently as we would have liked after it became necessary to meet with the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park Planning Authority to discuss the planning issues that they had regarding the reserve, therefore projects and in turn, website updates were put on hold during this time.

This has ended up being a lengthy process and the outcome is that we now have a 5-year management plan in place that was compiled by Les Hatton of Eden Ecology with funding for this provided by the National Park Authority.

You can learn all about Les by clicking the link at the bottom of this page.

The good news is that we have now been granted the planning permission for the reserve, albeit with a few minor stipulations attached.

We are extremely grateful to Malcolm McCallie (father of group volunteer Nicholas McCallie, and a long-standing supporter of FACCG along with wife Linda).

Malcolm gave up many hours of his time to compile drawings, attend meetings and continually liase with the National Park Planning Authority. Without Malcolm’s input, I am certain that we would not have achieved such a positive outcome regarding the planning permission. Thank you Malcolm!

Please bear with us and keep visiting over the next week as various updates are added to the site.
