Go BackFACCG Honoured at Award Ceremony
A small group of volunteers from FACCG were honoured to be able to represent the whole group at the annual awards ceremony for the Volunteer Development Scotland (VDS),Volunteer Award for 2009, Volunteer Centre Fife.

We attended the 2009 awards evening in Kirkcaldy on Thursday 26th November as a nominee of the Group Volunteer of the Year Award.

Although we didn`t win overall Group, we flew the flag for FACCG, and it was a true honour to even be there, to represent all the group`s hard work.

There was not one other group there with young volunteers with the average age of the other groups being between 40 and 50 years in age.

Can I thank Nicholas and Catriona for representing the Group as young volunteers, they were both true stars, discussing the work of the Group with other nominees.

Can I extend a very personal thank you once again
to Malcolm for nominating the Group, and highlighting to everyone at VDS Scotland and in Fife that the young volunteers and staff that make up FACCG have achieved so much during 2009.

I have said this before and will repeat it again, everyone who takes part in activities with FACCG are amazing volunteers, who work in all weathers, for prolonged hours, on any task given. There is not many young people, and
adults, out there who would do that paid, let alone as a volunteer. It takes a special person to do what FACCG does, therefore you are all very special and amazing volunteers.

Well done to us all for what we have achieved during 2009 across Fife and further afield.
